Thai snooker player Noppon Saengkham. When Thailand's Noppon Saengkham edged Welshman Lee Walker 10-8 early yesterday morning, he realised a long-cherished dream of featuring in the World Snooker Championship finals at the Crucible. Noppon is the only fourth Thai player to reach the world championship finals at the Crucible, where this year's event will commence tomorrow and conclude on May 1. "It was like a dream coming true but it left me sleepless last night," said Noppon. An even younger Chinese player, 17-year-old Yan Bingtao, will be up against 2005 world champion Shaun Murphy.
